Pricing

You’ll know the price before we start

Most electricians won’t put a number on a website. Every house is different, we know that. But you should have some idea what things cost before someone is standing in your garage. So here are our real starting prices, current for this year. Your exact quote comes after we’ve seen the job, in writing, before any work begins.

The $89 visit, explained

Big projects (rewires, remodels, panel work) skip the fee entirely. Those get a free on-site assessment and a written quote.

Almost everything starts with a diagnostic visit. Here’s how it works:

  • $89 flat. That gets a licensed electrician to your door, the time to find the problem, and a written price for the fix.
  • It credits toward the work. Approve the repair on the spot and the $89 comes off your bill. Most repairs happen the same visit.
  • No obligation. Want to think it over or get a couple other quotes? That’s fine. The price we give you is good for 30 days.

Pricing details

What moves a price up or down

Mostly it comes down to access and age. Things that push a price up: finished ceilings we have to fish wire through, panels buried behind drywall, aluminum wiring that needs work along the way, long runs from the panel to where the work is. Things that bring it down: open framing, a panel with room to spare, several jobs done in one trip. Bundling a few jobs together saves real money, so ask.

If we open something up and hit a real surprise, work stops and you get a call with options and prices. We don’t keep going on your dime without checking with you first.

After-hours and emergency calls

Nights, weekends, and holidays run $189 for dispatch. That covers getting a licensed electrician to your door and the first half hour. After that it’s time and materials, and we tell you the number on scene before we keep going. Sometimes the safe move is a temporary fix at midnight and the real repair Monday at normal rates. When that’s the case, that’s what we’ll tell you.

Payment

We take card or check, invoiced when the job is done. Bigger projects (rewires, panel work over $3,000) get split into a deposit and a final payment once the inspection passes. We don’t do financing. The 2-year workmanship warranty covers everything, in writing, on the invoice.

Fair questions

Questions we get a lot

Why charge $89 just to show up?
Troubleshooting is the actual work. You’re paying a licensed electrician to find what’s wrong with your house, and that’s most of the job right there. The shops that come out “free” just bury that cost somewhere else in the bill. We’d rather show it to you and then take it off the repair.
Are these prices guaranteed?
The starting prices are real and current. Your exact price depends on your house, and you get it in writing before any work starts. That written number is the one that ends up on the invoice.
Do your prices include permits?
Where the table says so, yes. That covers the permit, scheduling the inspection, and being there when the inspector comes. For odd jobs that end up needing a permit, we tell you before you approve anything.
Do you price match?
No. If someone quotes you a lot less, one of us is probably missing something, and it’s worth figuring out which before anyone opens your walls. Bring us the other quote and we’ll go through it with you.
Do you do free estimates?
For big projects, yes. Rewires, panels, remodels, and EV installs get a free on-site assessment. Troubleshooting is a different thing, because finding the problem is the actual work, and that’s what the $89 pays for.
