Residential electrical, done right the first time

We work on homes, not new construction and not commercial. Older houses and newer ones, from North End bungalows built in 1905 to last year’s builds out in Meridian. Each service below links to a starting price. Every quote is in writing before the work starts, and everything we do carries a 2-year workmanship warranty.

Repairs & troubleshooting

Dead outlets. Lights that flicker when the microwave kicks on. A breaker that trips every time it rains. Or a ceiling fan somebody wired wrong. This is most of the work we do, and we’re quick at it because we’ve run into most of it before.

The visit is $89. We find the problem, show you what’s going on, and give you a fixed price for the repair. Most repairs happen the same visit, and the $89 comes off the bill.

Diagnostic visit: $89

Panel upgrades & replacements

Houses pull more load than they used to. Heat pumps, EV chargers, hot tubs, a freezer out in the garage. If your panel is out of space, outdated, or one of the known problem brands, it’s probably time. Zinsco and Federal Pacific panels have a documented history of failing, and we replace a lot of them. What goes back in is a labeled 200-amp panel.

Every panel job includes the City of Boise or county permit, the utility coordination, and the inspection. We handle all of that paperwork, not you.

Service upgrade to 200 amps: from $3,500 · Panel replacement: from $2,400

EV charger installation

Level 2 charging at home. We run the circuit, mount the charger, and pull the permit. If your panel has the capacity, it’s usually a one-visit job. If it doesn’t, we’ll tell you before we start and give you a price for it either way.

We install every major brand, and we’ll tell you which ones we see come back with problems.

A couple of things worth knowing before you buy. Idaho Power offers a $200 residential EV charger rebate. The federal tax credit covers 30 percent of the install, up to $1,000, for equipment placed in service through June 30, 2026. We’ll point you to both.

From $850 with available panel capacity

Lighting, inside and out

Recessed lighting, under-cabinet lighting, dimmers that don’t buzz, porch and yard lighting. We’ll lay it out for you too. Getting the can spacing right the first time saves patching drywall later.

Recessed lighting: from $210 per fixture

Whole-home rewiring

A lot of Boise’s older blocks still have hundred-year-old wiring. Knob and tube can’t sit safely under insulation, most insurers won’t cover it, and aluminum branch wiring from the 60s and 70s has its own set of problems. We rewire occupied houses for a living. We open the walls carefully, patch them back to paint-ready, and keep the power on every night while the job runs.

This is a big job and we treat it like one. You get a free on-site assessment, a fixed written quote, and a schedule you can actually plan around.

Most whole-home rewires run $14,000 to $24,000 · Free assessment

Remodels & additions

Kitchen gut, basement finish, an ADU over the garage. We do the rough-in and the finish work. We’ll coordinate with your general contractor or work straight with you, and we show up when the schedule says we will.

Dedicated circuits

Hot tubs, ranges, dryers, shop tools, standby generator inlets. Anything that pulls serious load gets its own dedicated circuit, sized right and permitted where it’s required.

Hot tub circuit: from $1,800 · Generator inlet: from $950

24/7 emergency service

Burning smell from an outlet. A panel that’s buzzing. Half the house dark with a breaker that won’t reset. Call (208) 555-0164 any hour and a real person picks up. If it’s dangerous, we head out right away.

After-hours dispatch: $189, then time and materials

Permits and inspections

Electrical work in Idaho needs a permit more often than people expect. We pull the permit, schedule the inspector, and meet them at the house. When a price here says it includes the permit, the paperwork and the inspection are already in that number.
